Chapter 449: Goodbye, My Friend
Normally, rural homes keep dogs and geese, so when a stranger arrives, you can usually hear them from the courtyard gate.
But the old Yu family home was an exception, they didn’t often reside there, so they didn’t keep any poultry.
Suizi was so absorbed in admiring the muscle-bound man doing embroidery, she didn’t even notice the window, and so, Shen Liangyin came in unnoticed.
This image dealt a heavy blow to Shen Liangyin.
A hunky man of six feet tall was usually an imposing sight anywhere, but the delicate needle in his hand seemed absurdly out of place.
Unforeseen intrusions were furthest from Suizi’s mind. So, without thinking, she snatched the needle away, mumbling something incomprehensible.
"Thank you for helping me thread the needle. I’m really clumsy and I can’t do anything right."
In a second, she switched into a dutiful housewife mode, and Yu Jingting raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Thread the needle, my ass. I was the one stitching, I just wanted to help my wife sew."
Those words hit the two women differently.
Suizi felt great joy when she heard it, while Shen Liangyin was not in the best of spirits.
