"Yu, Tie, Gen!" Chen Lijun hissed, her teeth gritted with rage.
Yu Jingting sat down, poured himself a glass of beer, and drained it.
"Mom, if you want to blame someone, blame yourself for being naive about the evils of the world. How could you even trust me? Even at my worst, I can’t believe myself." Jingting signalled to the waiter, laughing.
They took away all the uneaten dishes and got a few more bottles of beer; this was not a good place for conversation.
It was impossible for Lijun to back out even if she knew she had been deceived.
Suizi’s hand rested on her stomach; she looked at her mother with red eyes. Without uttering a word, Lijun understood everything by the expression on her face.
If Lijun dared to leave tonight, who knew what her strong-headed daughter would do.
"You little brat, I’ll settle this score with you later." Lijun gritted her teeth and cursed Jingting.
"I told you before, even though I consider you as half my mother, I’m totally her husband. If you two fight, I’ll certainly take her side."
If Suizi’s expression wasn’t so alarming, Lijun might have been amused by Jingting’s cheeky behavior.
Not many people could openly admit they were henpecked, but this brat in front of her was one of them.
