Chapter 60: The Feng Shui of the Old Yu Family Overpowers Roasted Potatoes
Suizi led Jiaojiao out of the school campus and didn’t see Yu Jingting, Jiaojiao’s mouth was sticking out almost as far as an oil lamp wick.
"Where has my brother gone?"
Suizi guessed that Yu Jingting had gone to deal with the matter concerning Yan Changgui.
Jiaojiao spent the whole time pouting, her mood was very bad right now.
Suizi was substitute teaching for fifth grade in the afternoon, but Jiaojiao and Xiaopang were causing a ruckus in the classroom, disrupting the order, making it impossible for the third-graders to study independently.
Suizi moved these two little devils to the fifth grade classroom, setting up two small tables at the side of the teacher’s desk, one naughty child on each side under her watchful eye, like mythical guardians at her side.
Jiaojiao was forced to listen to the fifth grade lessons, and to her, an extra lesson was as heartbreaking as missing a piece of meat.
"Hey, don’t you think the people who create math textbooks are crazy?" Jiaojiao was so mad that she didn’t care to address Suizi properly.
Suizi didn’t take it personally. She held Jiaojiao’s small hand and walked towards home.
"No matter how you look at it, counting rooster legs and rabbit legs and trying to figure out how many roosters and rabbits are in the cage. Isn’t it a waste of time? It’s obvious on a glance, yet they have to spend ages calculating!" Having overheard a fifth-grade class, she thought it was as incomprehensible as literature, wondering if the people who set these problems were sick.
"And that other one, Xiaoming goes from point A to B, Xiaohua goes from B to A, and needs to work out the time of their meeting. Couldn’t they be using that time to eat sunflower seeds instead? Would knowing the time of meeting really mean they could eat an extra bowl of rice?"
