Chapter 428: This cannot go on
*There are more dangerous gates opening up at an alarming rate.* Leo said to Alice in her mind.
He was currently resting but he could still communicate with her.
’Is it a sign?’ Alice asked as she bolted through the clouds, heading for her next destination.
*Possibly.* Leo said. *A sign that the end is near.*
’Stop talking so ominously.’ she complained, her eyebrows knitting.
*How else should I phrase it? Anyway, let’s just follow my plan and make sure there are fewer worries in the world before the second calamity strikes.*
Leo had made a plan, since Alice claimed to want to take on a lot more monsters and was heading to England.
Since they had no idea when the second calamity would arrive, they decided to take on the big problems that the world was currently facing.
And while Alice was not very confident that she would be able to take on all the big problems before they were surprised, she sought to try her best.
If the world had fewer red gates to worry about and didn’t have most awakened fighting in barren lands when the second calamity struck, then they would be able to reduce the level of casualties.
The second calamity was a giant statue, like an angel descending into the world from the sky and all of the earth could see it from where they were.
It was only one huge boss monster but that wasn’t the only concern. It was the red gates of the SSS-class that would open up during its descent.
