Chapter 396: Tell me... where are they?
"Alice," Mark called, and Alice turned her head, only to be enveloped in his arms as he hugged her with everything he had.
Alice was stunned. It wasn’t like she died or anything so why was he acting like this?
"I’m so glad you’re alright." He said.
It wasn’t like Alice could not take care of herself. Even though the entire world came crashing, she would be the only one capable enough to still remain standing.
And yet... Even after knowing that and knowing how powerful she was, he couldn’t help but worry about her. He couldn’t help but think of the worst that could happen.
He was the weak one so why was he worrying about the strongest of them?
His heart kept racing worriedly, and the only way he could soothe it was when he laid his eyes on Alice, perfectly healthy and unharmed.
"Thank goodness," he mumbled, holding her tight.
For some reason, Alice did not say anything. She was stunned, and she knew he had needless worries but she couldn’t push him away. She couldn’t even tell him that he was being too much.
So, she raised her arms and wrapped them around him, hugging him back. She patted his back, comforting him.
Mark noticed this and looked down at her, surprised. She simply smiled, sinking into his embrace and he smiled back.
