Chapter 379: Archers, draw your bow
The competition between the archers was simple yet complex. They were shooting targets that were in a fixed position, but the distance was long, and they would have to shoot through the shells in front of the target before reaching it.
And they also had to make sure their arrows didn’t break before they hit the target.
So, the archers would need both accuracy as well as strength. To make up for all that, they needed to channel enough mana to coat their arrow to make it strong and penetrable, and they needed to reinforce the speed, too.
This was not something they were aware of when they were being picked to represent their school. But if they had thought about it more intensively, they might’ve guessed it would be something like this.
For Clarissa, she knew they were being trained in the ways of awakeneds, so that they could be able to handle anything that came their way.
So, she expected obstacles that were as thick as monsters hide before reaching the target as it would represent the monsters they would have to face as archers.
Monsters that could fly, run fast, or even leap... They’d have to be able to catch them with their arrows and kill them before they got to where the main squad was.
But this was even better. The obstacles weren’t moving and were in one position, ahead of the target.
She could take care of this in her sleep.
Though, she didn’t know how hard they were, she would just have to use a little more of her mana.
’If I don’t get this right, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to face Alice,’ she thought.
