Chapter 319: I heard you wanted to see me
Alice had a murderous air around her and it scared Vector. He was even more frightened at her words. What did she mean by that?
Was she just trying to exert her dominance? Was she mad, by chance?
His cold sweat kept flowing down his face and he cleaned them till his handkerchief was soaked. He was scared. Should he tell the boss about this?
But what if it was just a bluff and there was no cause for alarm? He would be disturbing the boss for no reason.
"Ma’am," one of the workers there approached with the mana stone resting on a red pillow. "It’s time to make your payment."
"Ah, yes, of course." She said and stretched her hands to the side. "After this, I’ll need the rest of my payment for the goods I sold to you right away."
As soon as she said that, Vector flinched and went to her side, bowing his head.
"Oh, now, Miss Black, there’s no need to make payment first." He said to her. "Why don’t we do it like this? We shall calculate the rest of your balance right now, take out the money for the bid you just won, and give you the rest."
Alice went silent. Ah, this was her plan all along. She had no plans to let them see her ring function and bring out so many wades of cash out of thin air.
She smiled.
"That sounds reasonable." She said, bringing her hand back. "Give it here." She requested for the mana stone. "Hurry up and prepare my money while I speak to the supplier."
