Alice’s hammer, the one Leo had given to her from the beginning, brought out of God knows where, was the hammer Alice had acquired during her last previous life.
It was a reward she got for killing ’Amtibah’ as it called itself. It was one of the boss monsters in one of the red gates during the second calamity.
It wasn’t an animal-type monster but more of a statue. Just like that empty space she walked into when she reached the boss room in the tower, amtibah resided in a similar place.
It has six hands that all hold different weapons. It looked similar to the statue of a deity but it was very sinister.
With one movement, it moved one of its hands and took out dozens on the spot.
It looked impossible for them to defeat but since that was not the boss of the calamity, it was not the demon they had to face to end the calamity, then they could not sacrifice more than they already did.
If every one of them died taking care of a simple boss monster when they were yet to face the calamity boss, then it was over for mankind.
So, they resorted to the saint’s sacrifice.
That was the first attempt at the saint’s sacrifice, and only a few were sacrificed. Though not by choice, as they had been the ones to run and get killed by the monster.
Alice was the recipient of the first saint sacrifice without knowing how. It was chosen randomly, so she took out Amtibah, and what she got was a big rusty hammer.
