It was an hour to midnight, which marked New Year’s Day, but Alice was alone, sitting by the river on a lover’s bridge.
She didn’t know who to call or what to do. She was just waiting for the time to go by and the new year to start already.
"Hah, it’s so cold." She said out loud and looked up at the sky. It wasn’t snowing but the weather was unbearably cold.
Well, thanks to the warm jacket Leo got her, she was able to feel warm but... She hoped he would’ve been there with her instead.
"He’s such a dumbass. Why does he have to fix the spatial ring at this moment?" She grumbled. "Couldn’t he just leave it for tomorrow or the day after that?"
In other words, he thought of that as more important than spending New Year’s Eve together. He wanted her to do the countdown alone. He was such a fool.
