The Fate Of The World Is In My Hands, But All I Want To Do Is Eat!

Chapter 197: Oh, so you do appreciate my effort

Alice put on the glasses and then immediately tried to see if it would impact her vision in any way, but it was normal.

"Hm," she pushed up the rim of the glasses. "I don’t feel different."

"Ah, I can tell there’s a difference in your appearance while you have the glasses on." Miss Stella said. "But it’s not very evident to me since I’ve seen you in person a couple of times."

"Me too." Micheal said and appeared behind her. "This pair only works on people who don’t know you." He sneakily dropped his hands on her shoulders, but she slapped them off as if they were flies perching on her and acted completely nonchalant about it.

"Then, either way, it works, right?" She took it off and examined the brown frame as well as the sharply sliced glass used as the lens. And then, she gasped, raising her head, and exclaimed alarmingly, "Oh no!"

"What is it?" Miss Stella asked, paying attention to her alarming exclamation. But then she said,

"I’m not going to be mistaken for a smart kid, am I?" They were taken aback for a second but Miss Stella was glad it wasn’t anything serious.

"And why do you think you would be mistaken for a smart kid?" She asked, lowering her head a bit to match Alice’s height. "I mean, you are smart, yes, but what are your concerns about?"

"Well, you know," She tilted the glasses in her hands a bit and tilted them back. "It’s usually the smart kids that wear glasses."
