Chapter 43: He knew that feeling
"Then, let’s hurry up and leave. You’re gonna drive me there, right?" Alice asked but a voice suddenly came up from a short distance.
"There will be no need for that." Someone said, and they both turned to find a group of black-suited men approaching, in front of them was also a guy in a black suit, tall and a little skinny compared to the muscular men behind him, and with a pair of spectacles resting on his nose bridge.
He had slick white hair, a polished expression, and a professional stance that made anyone guess that he was quite good at his job, whatever that was.
"Who’s this guy?"
Alice asked, no one in particular and he pushed up the rim of his glasses, going ahead to introduce himself,
"My name is Alfred, and I work under N.A.A.," he said, but Alice looked completely oblivious to what that is, pissing Alfred as he went ahead to state the full meaning of N.A.A. "National Awakeneds Association."
He said and she nodded.
"Oh, I knew that." She said and Alfred’s left eye twitched. Yet, he did not let it get to him and continued.
"Miss Alice, you-"
"Oh, he knows my name." Alice whispered, interrupting him.
"Ahem!" He cleared his throat and continued. "Your presence is being requested at the N.A.A board where all of its leaders will be present and you-"
