Chapter 32: Thank you for the food
*You seem spooked. Do you feel anything ominous coming?* The voice asked.
Alice shook her head and tried to recollect her thoughts. It was so bizarre but she wanted to ask anyway.
"H-hey, this is gonna sound crazy, but we live in an era where there are monsters and superheroes, so I don’t think it’s all that crazy, but... Are you from the future?"
The voice went silent and so did Alice.
"Shit, I knew that sounded weird. I mean, how could you be from the future, right?" She paused. Saying that out loud, things actually started to make sense.
It knew about the calamity and knew that a red gate was going to spawn where she was before any of it happened.
It knew too much to be considered a coincidence.
*All this... I will answer them once you defeat the demon administrator.* It said.
"Ah, there’s that promise again." She said. "Are you sure you’re going to explain things to me once I defeat the boss?"
*I give you my word.* It said. *And also, I won’t be able to take over your body going forward. You might not feel it but it’s highly dangerous.*
"How dangerous?"
