Chapter 58 -: 58, Sudden Disruption
At the Grand Hall
In front of all the Officials of the Kaiser Empire, including the Blessed, Emperor Ray, Saintess Lily, Arcadius, Lilith and Harold, Dainsleif was on his knees, looking at the ground as absurdity filled his heart.
He looked up and saw the disgusted and resentful gazes of everyone. Emperor Ray looked disappointed and the Saintess looked a bit relieved, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her heart.
From the corner of his eyes, he saw the distressed looks from Hestia. Azaria beside her had tears in her eyes as she moved her lips repeatedly and whispered something over and over under her breath. Penelope beside them had a dark expression, but not at him. She glared in front of her, looking right at Duron and Aldric.
They had smug and satisfied smiles that they had hidden very well that only Penelope and some of them could notice. The other high ranking officials also noticed this but they didn’t want to offend Aldric as he was one of the heroes, so no one pointed it out.
Dainsleif smiled bitterly seeing all this. He was about to rest, but now he is tangled in this mess that he didn’t even want.
