Chapter 53 -: 53, Second Round (part_3)
Soon, Caspian and Jack stepped onto the arena, both holding their swords.
As the fight began, Caspian was pretty calm and walked towards Jack in a leisurely manner, his sword still not out of its sheath. He was pretty confident he could defeat Jack.
Jack, on the other hand, was pretty cautious. He had already witnessed Caspian giving Aldric a hard time in their conflict earlier. So, he knew that he cannot win, but that doesn’t mean he would admit defeat early. He would try his best to drag the fight as long as he can.
Jack just stood where he was, waiting for Caspian to make the first move. He stayed alarmed all the time with his shadow skills ready for casting at any second.
Caspian quickly realized what Jack was trying to do, but he was too bored to play along. He wanted the Crown proposed by Dainsleif as it would increase his strength and boost his leveling speed.
Caspian leaped forward, his figure so fast it was almost out of everyone’s focus. Jack was prepared and spent a large amount of mana to form a shadow barrier with spikes as sharp as needles protecting him.
Caspian was taken aback as this move was out of his imagination. But he didn’t panic and controlled his speed to stop right before the shadow needles could touch his chest. He was stunned for a second because of the sudden stop when Jack made his first move.
He quickly dissolved the shadow barrier as it was too mana consuming and rushed at Caspian holding his sword, ready to strike. But before he could, a kick landed straight at his chest as he sent flying from the force.
Just the kick alone from Caspian was enough to cause great pain for Jack, but Caspian didn’t stop there. He rushed at Jack, who was unable to respond quickly and punched him hard on his forehead.
