Chapter 34 -: 34, Fated Separation being Reunited
In the middle of a ruined castle with broken rubbles scattering across the ground and fire burned the distant structures. The sky was dark and rain poured down as the echoes of the soldiers’ cry rang throughout the field and many monsters of different types attacked the surrounding soldiers with deep hunger in their eyes.
In the middle of that ruined battlefield, a white-haired man was clutching the fallen corpse of a green skinned woman. Tears flowed down on his bloodied face, his eyes red with grief.
His heart that never felt the touch of a True Love that now fell for this enemy of his. It was love at first sight. During their confrontation, Kieran had noticed that this person, for whom his heart had genuine feelings, was controlled by a mysterious force unknown to him.
His hand firmly held the person’s face, her name still unknown to him. He closed in and kissed her lips desperately, as if doing sincerely enough would bring her back. After a brief moment, he released her lips with a defeated sight.
He gently and lovingly kissed her forehead, saying the final farewell to the person he met for the first and the last time.
After the cries of monsters and soldiers died down, footsteps could be heard from a distance slowly growing closer.
A voice inquired with a hoarse voice, "Ever since childhood, I’ve never seen that look on your face. Is she really so important in just the first meeting?"
Kieran moved his head to look at him. Dain was taken aback to see Kieran’s haggard figure with a sorrowful expression. His eyes looked tired of everything with his glowing blue pupils in the middle of the blood red eyes. His messy white hair was damp with the rainwater and his clothes were ripped from many sword cuts.
Kieran looked back at Gura’s lifeless body and said in a hoarse voice, "My heart fell for her, but our candle of love, extinguished before it could fully ignite."
Dain shook his head and said solemnly, "Though she’s gone, the memories of her still remain in your mind. Maybe somewhere in a different timeline, you two are happily together. But alas, it’s a pity that the future can’t happen in this time-lines." (A/R: Terrified Emoji)
Kieran was silent for a brief moment, and soon enough, tears began to pour out uncontrollably like a dam let loose. His heart was heavy with regret and sadness as the longing for that now impossible future. (A/R: Sad Emoji)
