Soaring over the city, my eyes moved from building to building in search of the inn where Prince Ronald was staying the night. I had no information on his exact location, so I was hoping I would feel Seo-Yun’s presence and use that to locate the prince.
However, after flying for nearly twenty minutes, I noticed a figure standing atop a roof with a psychotic smile I could never forget. Seo-Yun waved at me with a proud expression that made me believe she expected me to come looking for them tonight.

Without hesitation, I swooped down and gently landed beside her. My wings folded and dug into my body while I turned to meet her flirtatious gaze.
"I’m guessing you couldn’t get me off your mind after that kiss, so you came looking for me to eat me up," she said, her finger playing on her lips while her smile only widened.
A cold shiver ran down my spine. I wondered if fifty years of living as a Gatekeeper had driven her crazy. But I quickly remembered—Gatekeepers are vile souls who have committed unimaginable crimes, so I shouldn’t be surprised that a crazy woman like this made the list.
Regardless, Seo-Yun’s slender face was hard to ignore. Her long eyelashes, complimented by the black paint around her eyes and extravagant black jewelry, all added to her beauty in a weird way.
"I’m here to make a deal with you," I said, and the excitement in her eyes faded almost immediately.
Her gaze turned cold and she narrowed her eyes before asking,
"So you refuse my offer?"
She spoke in an almost threatening tone, but I simply chuckled.
