It took a while, but I narrated everything that had happened with the Solinthar Empire—leaving out how they assumed I was a mythical being of destiny meant to liberate them—and also informed them of my plan to keep helping until the rift collapses and we’re forced to return.
When I was done, everyone was silent, pondering on my words. They had nothing to lose staying here, so no one was against it—except Kenza, who was worried about my safety. However, she couldn’t abandon her post or assign soldiers to me.
American interest must always come first as a soldier, and it made her feel helpless.

I didn’t even need to look to know it was Righteous throwing a tantrum again. He jumped to his feet with a scornful look, slowly making his way over to my side with a disdainful glare.
"Who do you think you are?" he snapped. "A hero?"
"Yes... Yes, I am." I responded without hesitation, and he froze for a moment.
"Tell me... Where were you in the fight for Louisiana?"
