Chapter 79: Challenging The Orc Berserker
While Kenza and her troops pushed to the rear, I stood some meters ahead of my forces, watching the orc forces slowly complete their formation.
From the looks of it, we were seconds away from starting the battle.
"Cage!" I called out in a cold voice.
It took a few seconds, but the man stepped out with a lot of stitches here and there. While they wiped his wounds, there were still blood marks on his scarred face, and for some reason, his hulking frame seemed a bit smaller now. This time, he wasn’t trying to appear big. He was like a child approaching a well-known cruel teacher, afraid he might get punished again.
"Y-yes?" he muttered in a shaky tone, but I didn’t even bother to spare him a glance.
"I’ll leave these men to you..." I said before looking over my shoulder to get a glimpse of him. "You claimed you were experienced. Prove it."
With that said, I began walking forward, flexing my shoulder and stretching as I moved.
"W-what a-about y-you?"
The once proud First Lieutenant sounded like a timid cat, stuttering over his words. Maybe this had to do with the teeth he lost. It might be affecting his speech.
"What else?" I shrugged without looking back. "I am your first line of attack. I’ll tear through their lines and break that barricade..."
Buzz!
