Chapter 66: Setting Boundaries
Standing atop my castle walls, I watched Queen Emma Velen and her soldiers descend the mountain path, dragging along the headless corpse and the offerings they brought with them.
While my offer was grand, my request was too heavy for her to carry. Giving up her family heritage was not something she could decide on in an instant, so I sent her back with her offerings.
Not without a parting word.
"I will not protect what I do not own. Submit or be eradicated by the darkness." I repeated those words with narrowed eyes.
With this done, I glanced at my bloodied hands and frowned. I had no plans of getting rid of the black leather trench coat and shirt—these things would be my war attire in this world—but that doesn’t mean I should wear them all the time while I’m here.
Snap!
A dark rift appeared beside me and I walked in, emerging in the castle library where I hung my coat on my reading chair. Another rift opened as soon as I grabbed it and I stepped in, returning to my dormitory on Earth.
"That castle has no source of water... I guess Lord Ravus and his fucking family weren’t big on hygiene," I grumbled.
Since I got there, I had no water to brush, drink, or bathe. I can’t stay there for months in that condition—I’m not a pig.

My face twisted at the sound of my phone on the bed, buzzing. This left me wondering if someone was waiting for me to return to this world just to stress me.
