Chapter 45: Pamela’s Final Request
"Dual Talent Limitless are humans who awaken two Limitless talents instead of one." Pamela was more than happy to explain. "They are extremely rare. Currently, only three of them exist in the country!"
Listening to her explanation, I didn’t know how to react to this. Wouldn’t she pass out if I told her I currently had four talents and a list full of talents I could purchase from?
"Ooh... Wow..." I gave a dry cheer, but Pamela didn’t seem to care.
She hurried towards me and grabbed both my hands, looking deep into my eyes before speaking.
"Since you gave me the correct answer, I can trust you with this offer." Pamela said while clasping my hands together with her hands wrapped around mine.
It felt warm but uncomfortable.
I looked at our hands before looking her in the eyes.
"What is it?" I asked in the same dry tone, but Pamela seemed too excited to notice my disinterest.
"Join the Watchers." She said before letting go of my hand and taking a step back.
"We are a global-wide group of Limitless who are determined to break free from the constraints of powerless humans." Pamela’s stern voice returned. "We exist in every state, country, and continent on earth."
I wasn’t sure why, but the introduction was underwhelming for me. Maybe it was because I already had too many responsibilities on Earth and in my territory, so joining another organization would only be more stressful.
