Chapter 31: Pamela’s Second Request
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
My eyes reluctantly opened at the sound of the banging door, making me wince in discomfort. The world was blurred, and my head ached like crazy.
"Who the fuck?" I muttered as my room light nearly blinded me.
I covered my eyes with one palm while I searched the bed with the other for my phone. My hand touched a book, and when I looked over, it was Lord Ravus’s diary laid next to me.
"God damnit." I groaned as I picked it up, while a fist-sized spatial space tore open next to me and I tossed it inside.
After owning a mercenary group and engaging in numerous missions, I wasn’t the type to sleep too deeply. Even though I felt groggy, I knew Lord Ravus’s diary was something no one else was allowed to see—or it may arouse suspicion.
After waving my hands across the bed and still not finding my phone, I abandoned it and dragged my feet to the door. I unlocked it and yanked it open, only to see the short devil standing at my doorstep with a deep frown.
"What do you want?" I asked Pamela while rubbing my eyes.
I was too tired to be mad at her for disturbing my peace.
