Shi Lang looked at the somber expression of the Elder, and he calmed down. The elder continued, "The realm lord is planning something big, and the first phase of his action was the Dao Tournament. We have no idea what he is going to do next, but this is now about the survival of the races and the protection of the Dao. We will not exist if the Dao is corrupted and controlled by one person."

Naomi the princess of the Jewel Eye race spoke up, "Elder Kallar, do you think that we can stop the Realm Lord? Also, how can we trust everyone inside this room? What if they reveal our plan to the Realm Lord?"

The rest of the people nodded and then Kallar took out a stone that looked like a piece of ember and said, "This is the Soul Ember. It is known for putting on binds on the soul of a person and will act akin to a medium like the spiritual contracts. This stone if rather strong, and can erase your soul if you just as much as think of betraying the oath that you have made. This stone is harvested from the sight where the Champion of the Vega Titan race fell, I am sure that you all are familiar with his legend? This stone is said to be his blood, and the reason his blood spilled was betrayal. So, with his dying breathes he imbued the Dao runes all over the region where this stone comes from.

So, I ask you all, to take an oath with this stone or you may leave here, I would not hold it against you, but remember, that I will not help you with the seal on your consciousness, and when you go to the realm lord to reveal everything, he would look into your soul, and after that death would be a glorious thing for you."

Shi Lang was surprised that such things existed in this world. He found them novel. He looked around and found that none of the elders were taking the initiative and at this moment he sighed and stood up from his seat and said, "Elder Kallar, I would like to represent the human race and make the oath of secrecy and loyalty towards this alliance."

The rest of the people were shocked, and Naomi asked with a faint hint of curiosity in her gaze, "Daoist Shi, are you not worried that someone here would not participate and then you will have made the oath in vain."

As he said, the people sensed his killing intent increasing, his hair turned crimson and so did his eyes, they had long turned crimson but when the killing intent of the Shura his eyes began to glow like they had lights fitted inside the sockets. Shi Lang took a deep breath and asked, "I would like to ask someone, if you have the guts, try to take a step back now, and see if you would live to tell the tale."

His aura was strong, and his speech was cold, many of the people from the top races actually had goosebumps when they watched him approach the elder and bow before reaching out for the stone. Kallar was also feeling a little stifled but that was because Shi Lang had redirected his aura around the rest of the people, to deter them. The Terran held the stone in his hand and he said, "I..."

Shi Lang made the oath and then the rest of the people slowly followed him.

Amelia was sitting on top of a hill, and before her lay the vast plain of the Archer Realm. She had observed the surroundings a bit and sensed the fluctuations of the Dao spread around the place before she closed her eyes to sense the surroundings. Amare was standing on the side, and she was watching this whole thing but could not understand why would someone who wanted to see the landscape would close their eyes, but just then she opened her eyes wide, because even though Amelia was sitting right before her, she could not sense the lady with her spiritual sense. It was as if Amelia was a ghost.

She gulped, and realized that the two humans that have come over to their side, were actually monsters, and Amelia was literally on par with Shi Lang, earlier when she was checking the two of them out she thought that Shi Lang was a scary person as he was fluctuating in her senses, but now, looking at Amelia who had such a terrifying control on her presence she understood who was the scary one.

Amelia had no idea that she was scaring the shit out of her escort, she was just trying to connect with the world consciousness, by tracing the Dao Lines around with her consciousness. Suddenly, one of the lines resonated with her, and a voice echoed in her mind, "Why are you seeking me?"

Amelia was surprised but she quickly asked, "We don't have much time, your excellency, but I would like to ask you a few questions to protect what is left of the world."

"Go on." The ethereal voice echoed in her mind, and Amelia continued after a deep breath, "How can we unite the broken planes of the World. If they all came together, the spiritual energy will multiply and then we would be able to get stronger with a complete set of Dao Rules and World Laws. The realm lord would become an outsider who would not be able to harm the world."

The world consciousness replied, "You are seeking the most difficult task that exists there. However, I shall commend your candor. Listen well, we don't have much time. If you wish to connect the worlds back again, you would need to refine a vessel that can contain the power or a wisp of the world consciousness, something like your own body. Then put us all together, and only then with the combined resonance we would be able to connect the fragments of the world."

Amelia was shocked, she asked, "How is that possible, we cannot just do the same time again and again, the resources needed for that are too much."

"Seek the temple of the Five elements. After the fragmentation every plane manifested a temple of it own. Your dao companion is the singularity that can make this happen. After all, he has already done it once before."

That was it, Amelia sensed the connection break and her consciousness reeled back in her body. She gulped before she opened her eyes, the things that the world consciousness told her were too heavy for her to comprehend and even believe. Creating a body like hers would mean that Shi Lang would have to reveal her reality to the rest of the plains and if the realm lord found out it would be a death dance for everyone.

She opened her eyes and Amare asked, "Excuse me, Senior."

Amelia snapped back from her daze, and Amare asked, "I apologize for breaking your train of thoughts, but I am unable to hold back my curiosity."

Amelia nodded and said, "What is it?"

Amare asked, "How can you control your presence so well? Is is a technique that you have mastered?"

Amelia realized that it must be because when she was merging with the nature around her, that caused this young lady to ask her such a question. Amelia replied after turning her head back, "When you reach the Seeker realm as a Dao Saint, that is when you would realize how I gained such a strong control, but the trick lies in how better do you understand the nature around you, and the nature inside you."

Amare was confused and Amelia smiled as she said, "What is the world made of?"

Amare replied, "Five elements."

Amelia nodded and asked, "What about us? What are we made of?"

Her voice was soft and gentle, Amare thought for a bit and then said, "We are also made from the five elements."

Amelia nodded and said, "That is the key. You have to balance the inside with the outside, or to simplify it, you need to sense the outside to find what is inside you, and when you reach a balance, that is when you master the control over presence. For now, that would be good enough."

Amare bowed her head and said, "Thank you, Senior, for your guidance."

Amelia smiled and shook her head as she said, "Shall we head back?"
