Chapter 1148: Tricks & Joy.
Shi Lang saw Nishan off the place, and then he went to meet Amelia. The lady was still meditating, and when Shi Lang appeared next to her, she opened her eyes and asked, "So, what was going on their?"
The young man said, "Well, we have something going on for us."
Amelia raised her brow and Shi Lang replied, "Nishan came over to meet us and he wanted to invite us to their plane, but he told us that we needed to seal our consciousness to get through the Dao Barrier. That will be the way we avoid the surveillance from the Realm Lord."
The young lady frowned and said, "If we have to seal the consciousness, then it would leave us open to be attacked. Although the Sun Archers cannot lie, but I would not be so off guard around anyone apart from you."
Shi Lang nodded and replied, "I was thinking if I should create some clones that could watch over us, and then I can inform Nishan about the situation. The reason we need to be sealed is because we are saint realms, the clones would be of lower realm, it would not be a problem for them."
Amelia nodded, and then asked, "How much of your strength can the clones execute, if needed?"
Shi Lang smiled and replied, "A rough estimate would be eighty percent, that is enough to make the people of the Archer Plane to pull back if they have any ideas."
Amelia nodded, and then she asked, "Can you take Raksha with you?"
Shi Lang was surprised and asked, "Are you doubting me?"
The lady shook her head and replied, "NO, I am not doubting you. I am just worried that something might go wrong."
Shi Lang reached out and caressed her hair before he smiled and said, "Don’t think that much, it would all be fine. I will make all the preparations. Nishan has gone back to talk to his elders, and it would take them quite some time to decide upon it. So, in the meantime, I will create the few things that could help us when needed."
Amelia nodded and Shi Lang stood up as he left the courtyard and headed to the refinement hall. He was going to make a few weapons and a few artifacts that were needed to make things easier for them. When he came to the refinement hall, many disciples saw him and bowed. Shi Lang waved his hand and said, "Carry on, don’t worry about me being here."
They all left and a steward appeared beside Shi Lang. The Terran smiled and said, "Elder Gais, is there any room available?"
The old man was one of the few people who have reached the level of a grandmaster in his time, however, a battle left him dry and vain of potential, thus he was only qualified to stay in the Asura Hall as a steward but even the official elders were respectful to him. The old man bowed and said, "Yes, there is a room that has been reserved for you and Young Miss Yu. She has not taken it today so you seem to be in luck, Hall Master."
Shi Lang laughed and said, "Please tell me which one."
The old man led him to the room, and Shi Lang went in, only to find himself standing in a place which seemed to be a weapon paradise. This was something that he didn’t expect. Yu Xeidi seemed to be putting in a lot of effort to refine artifacts and improve her craft. After the young man was done inspecting the place, he came to the furnace and the anvil, before he picked up some chunks of metals from the side, and tossed them inside the furnace.
The flames were so hot that the metal chunks turned into smelted pieces really quickly, and then Shi Lang used a pair of tongs to pull the metal out of the furnace and placed it all on the anvil and then began to beat it with ferocious speed and intensity. Every hit caused the room to echo with a clang, and removed the impurities from the metal. Shi Lang refined the metal into a sword with thousand hits. Then he placed the still hot sword on the table and began to carve a few symbols on it.
When he was done, he quenched the sword and placed it aside, then the cycle continued. He made thousand such swords with an efficiency that could put even the machines to shame. Each sword was the same size, with the same inscriptions and they all looked identical when placed side by side. None of the people could do anything to them. After Shi Lang finished handling all the thousand swords, he picked up the metal once again and this time he began to make some rings of different sizes. If the people saw the products, they would say he was wasting time, because the people could not make the heads and tails of these rings.
However, after Shi Lang decided he had made enough of these rings, he began to put them together, and while doing this, he placed a spirit stone inside the rings. The Terran had made an artifact that was assembled by putting together a bunch of these rings. These balls were of varying sizes, some were as big as his fist and some were just as big as a grape. The young man finished the assembly and he looked very pleased with himself.
He picked up a ball that was the size of a grape and kept the rest inside his space ring and left the refinement room. As he was playing with the ball in his hand, he came across Tian Long who had just came out of seclusion and was looking stronger than ever. The latter smiled and asked, "Punk, want to spar?"
Shi Lang raised his brow and as he asked, "Are you sure that you want to do that?"
Tian Long nodded sincerely, and Shi Lang tossed the grape sized marble to him and said, "If you can derive the solution of this thing then I will fight with you."
Tian Long looked at the small marble in his hand and found a few symbols engraved on the outside of the marble. He was curious and began to contemplate and just then he thought that he needed to use his spiritual energy to peek deeper into the secret. Just as he channeled his spiritual energy into the Marble, the symbols on the outside began to glow, and then the spirit stone inside the ball cracked and lost its energy.
Suddenly, Tian Long was covered with a sense of dread, he could not tell what it was, but this sensation caused him to shiver in fear, and it was not that he would shiver from just anything. He was a seeker of Dao. Just as he was thinking of how to handle this situation, he found that he was frozen. Shi Lang stood across him with a faint smile on his face, and said, "What you just triggered is called a Time Grenade that I developed. Inside is the stabilization core which breaks when you use your own spiritual energy to peek inside it. After that source of power cracks, the runes that you activates a time trap. This trap will keep you frozen unless you comprehend the laws of time. Though it would be a week before the runes lose their power, till then you are a statue. Thank you for the successful experiment."
Tian Long was yelling a lot of things in his mind, but he could not even mobilize his body. The only consolation here was that he was able to breath. After a few minutes, the people discovered the situation and then the entire Asura Hall found out about it. Within a few moments some sneak shots of this whole thing were circulated around and the elders of the sect could not help but laugh out loud. They were all shocked to see the situation but it was funny as hell.
...
Shi Lang was ready to go and visit the Archer Plain when Fairy Moon Jade came to him. She looked at him with a gaze that asked, ’WHY?’
Shi Lang chuckled and replied, "What? It was his fault, always pestering me for a duel, so I just gave him a puzzle."
Fairy Moon Jade sighed, and said, "Can you two, please grow up? I have to suffer because of this. Long will come back and pester me about it. I have no interest in listening to who bullied who. Either you two make peace, or I beat the shit out of you both, and don’t think you are all powerful now. I still have a lot of cards up my sleeves."
As she said that Shi Lang sensed that her soul had grown stronger, at least matching his level would not be a problem and she was not a vase, her martial skills were also good. He sighed and said, "He would wake up after a week."
Fairy Moon Jade said, "This is the last time, Lang, or I will beat you both."
Amelia chuckled at how bossy the gentle Moon Jade was and then she said, "Sister Moon, I baked some cookies, shall we share them over coffee?"
Moon Jade smiled and said, "You are the only joy in this place."
