Chapter 1897 - 1893: Mirror Image
Shen Luo and Nie Caizhu blinked and found themselves inside a vast green palace.
The great hall was exceptionally spacious, and at the far end stood a golden table, surrounded by a slowly rotating golden light array.
Through the light array, something could be vaguely seen on the table, but it was impossible to discern clearly.
Beside the table stood a dark gold furnace, ancient in design, engraved with countless spirit patterns all over its body, evidently a treasure.
A layer of golden flame flickered silently at the bottom of the furnace, emitting a scorching heat even from a great distance, as if something was being tempered inside.
In the four directions around the table, stood four green statues.
These statues were humanoid. The statue in the southeast corner was a teenager holding a coiling dragon long knife, the northeast belonged to a man wielding a great hammer, the southwest was a woman carrying a long bow, and the northwest was an old man with a walking stick.
This was the full view of the entire great hall.
Shen Luo was slightly surprised by the scene, and attempted to probe the golden table using his Divine Sense, but the great hall was filled with a powerful prohibition, making it impossible for his Divine Sense to move an inch.
"Cousin, this place is quite peculiar, we should be cautious." Nie Caizhu warned.
"I understand, but since we’re already here, we can’t just stay put. I’ll go ahead and check it out. If there’s any danger, I’ll fall back." Shen Luo smiled and took steps forward.
