I Refused To Be Reincarnated

Chapter 686: A World Beyond Imagination

Adam’s question forced William out of his sorrow. He had calmed down and soothed the children enough that they were now sniffing quietly instead of bawling their eyes out. It was indeed time to make his mark on this new land.

He pulled back from the warm hug he had given the kids, feeling their small hands clutch his sleeves and pants. Then, he finally observed the surroundings he had ignored. And he almost choked at what he saw.

Between the palace broader than the mountain he had lived in, the sprawling gardens filled with swaying rice plants, dew-covered vegetables, and rare qi herbs, he didn’t know if his eyes fed him the truth or if Adam had shoved him into an illusion or a dream world.

He stumbled to the edges of the central island, his breath catching in his throat. These were just the tip of the iceberg.

Down below, he saw lush canopies, transparent rivers, and sparkling lakes. He heard the distant growls of the magical beasts populating them. His eyes widened when he saw the centipede that had come with him dig a tunnel through the mountain. This fellow knew his priorities and hadn’t wasted a single second.

"A blessed land?" he muttered, the words barely coming out of his dry throat. "This is more than that..."

But amidst the natural landscape, tall structures drew his attention. They seemed out of place in the cultivator setting. He would have understood if they were at least shaped like mage towers or followed the architecture Pablo had brought with him from the archipelago. But they seemed nothing of the sort.

He pointed in their direction, about to ask what they were. However, Misha moved before him and cut him off.

"Forget about Adam and his boring palace." A radiant smile curved her lips. "I’m delighted to guide my first guests into my city. Follow me!"
