After a breakfast filled with hearty discussions, culinary discoveries, and hopeful plans for the future, Misha and Xie Lian left for the cultivation rooms to begin their daily training.
Although the boosting formations functioned at minimal capacity, they enjoyed the isolated place and soft cultivation cushions. Entering the room also shifted their mindsets. They came to train; everything else was pushed aside as a distraction.
As they sat cross-legged and closed their eyes, Adam returned to the library since a part of his mind constantly refined his cells.
The moment he entered, Lulu flew to his palm from one of the many shelves. Her smile brightened the solemn calligraphies painted in bold characters along the walls.
"Good morning, Adam!" She clenched her fist, a cute expression of seriousness creasing her brow. "You made good progress on your project yesterday. I’m eager to see what you’ll add next."
Adam patted her little cheek, nodding. "Morning, Lulu. I’ve waited to build this bastion for eleven years and want to do the initial work on my own."
Lulu’s smile broadened as she flew to his hair. Seated like a bird in its nest, she raised an eager fist. "Let your imagination run wild. I’m sure you can create something incredible without my help. But let me optimise it slightly to save on materials once you’re done."
"Thank you for understanding." He sat on his desk, glancing at yesterday’s broad parchment.
Dense drawings and notes covered every yellowed inch in blue ink, making him scratch his head, then laugh. "I’ll need a few hundred more of these. But first!"
