Without wasting a second, he rushed to the closest individual, a woman wearing a silk robe glistening a warm vermillion. He observed the delicate petal of the lotus tattooed on her forehead as he cupped his fist and smiled.
"Hello. I’m here to take your test, miss."
The woman observed him, her expression unreadable as all the projections turned in unison.
He frowned at their reactions and instant glares. ’Is it the wrong approach?’
Fortunately, they all cupped their fists and bowed slightly before the woman spoke.
"Welcome to the void palace’s tea room." She gestured to one of the wooden tables, jade cups, and porcelain pots with a soft smile. "This room shall test your mastery over sophistication and energy control."
Adam scratched his head. Where was the bloody test he had expected? Well... there was a time when he wished for simpler trials.
