I Refused To Be Reincarnated

Lulled by the chant of roosters, Adam and Misha leapt out of the blankets at sunrise and grinned at each other.

"Ready?" Misha winked, her cheeks flushed with excitement as she quickly smoothed down her hair.

Adam nodded, channelling water Qi in his hand as he passed it over his face. The cool sensation freshened him up as he raised his thumb.

"To roll on sect points? Always!"

Without wasting a second, they used old clothes to make the shop’s displays sparkle and placed one eye-catching pill of each type inside.

With the displays arranged to their satisfaction, Misha turned to Adam.

"We should label these with their effects and prices, right?" She took out a piece of paper, a bottle of ink, and a brush she had borrowed from Shen. "We’d lose our voices if we had to explain everything every single time."

Adam nodded. "You’re right. We have a hundred and ninety-three Qi-gathering pills and a hundred and thirty-two for body strengthening. How much do you think we should sell them for?"

Misha tucked her fingers around her shin, a pensive frown creasing her brows.

"I told you yesterday that other shops sold terrible ones for twenty sect points. Yours have that distinctive golden sheen and potent herbal aroma. Perhaps double?"

"Sounds good." He rubbed his hands, gold coins flashing in his sparkling eyes as Misha made small tags for each displayed pill. "I hope we’ll sell at least fifteen to pay off our debt today."
