On Hiatus: God's Personal Reasons

Chapter 300: #A Happy Ending? (5)

Though I’d created this world using false Creation, it was a spitting image of Earth. Yet now, not even a fragment of it remained.

Ruuuumble!

Lightning raged violently. The sky was shrouded in dark clouds, while the ground boiled with lava as red as freshly spilled blood. Yet there I stood with the monsters I’d summoned, engaged in a brutal battle against God of Destroyer’s fragments, killing each other without mercy.

Apocalyptic Eye, which was as large as the moon, glowed a malicious red. It fired a destructive beam at the Taunting Hourglass, shattering it into pieces.

Psss! Baaaam!

In its final, desperate act, the sand in the hourglass burst fourth, scattering sandstorm all over the Apocalyptic Eye.

-Kiaaaaaak...!

Like a salt-covered snail, the eye shriveled and writhed in agony. Then, it plummeted to the ground, where the lava was boiling.

Meanwhile, the God of Destroyer’s tongue—Whispers of Destruction—and my Self-Devouring Snake were locked in a grotesque knot, each devouring the other’s tail. The Destroying Hands clashed with the Endless Tentacles Roaming the Universe, caught in a contest of brute strength. Soul-Devouring Worms swarmed over the bubbling mass of Swarming Gastric Acid, getting melted by it. It was a scene torn straight from the depths of hell—getting devoured and being devoured.

At first glance, the battle would seem evenly matched.

Crack crack!

I heard the sound of my false world shattering. Although I could trap Despair and her apocalyptic monster, it was becoming increasingly difficult to contain the God of Destroyer’s fragments that were endlessly pouring in. It was akin to a balloon that had been inflated to its limit, on the verge of bursting.
