Chapter 1309: Seafood (3)
Boli Town wasn’t big, but it was said that the east side bordered the ocean, so, walking in the market, one could indeed see some seafood.
Yang Ruxin used to live in a coastal city in her previous life and was particularly fond of seafood. After coming to ancient times for over half a year, to be honest, aside from getting some seafood from Lu Gao before, she hadn’t eaten it again. Now, seeing the crabs, shrimp, sea fish, and the like, she truly craved it.
"Miss, what’s this? Is it edible?" Yang Miao had never seen the sea and was even more unfamiliar with seafood; she didn’t even recognize the crabs.
"This is a crab, from the ocean. It’s delicious, but the fattest ones are around the Mid-Autumn Festival. Although it’s slightly off-season now, it’s still good enough to satisfy a craving..." Yang Ruxin smacked her lips, "When we get back to the ship, I’ll cook some for you."
"Ruxin, it’d be great if there was beer here," Yu Qingge quietly sighed beside Yang Ruxin’s ear, "That fresh draft beer, with the original taste of seafood, would be truly wonderful." Then she let out a sigh, "But I guess there’s no chance of that here..."
Yang Ruxin laughed, she had dreamt of drinking draft beer and eating clams, but alas, there was none.
"Ruxin, why don’t you brew some beer?" Yu Qingge suddenly came over and suggested again.
Yang Ruxin spread her hands: "I really don’t know how." Did this girl think that all time-travelers were omnipotent?
Yu Qingge had no choice but to give up.
Apart from crabs, Yang Ruxin also bought some local specialties such as white shrimp, and she even saw some sea fish. Unfortunately, her space’s little fish pond was freshwater, else she would definitely have put sea fish in it.
Previously, she had added a small grass carp to it, and when she looked last night, the pond was teeming with fish, which seemed quite large, with some estimating to be around fifteen or sixteen pounds. The taste was still unknown, whether it would be fresher than those from outside.
Though the market wasn’t large, everyone still bought quite a lot of things and ate plenty of snacks. Later, realizing there was nothing else of interest, they prepared to return to the dock.
