Chapter 1134: Taming Horses (July Event 5)
Yang Ruxin pouted. Was this guy actually using his good looks as a strategy? Fine, since she wasn’t really angry to begin with, his charm offensive was somewhat effective. She just didn’t want to show it just yet, especially with a dozen or so onlookers trailing behind, so she could only roll her eyes at him.
Gu Qingheng, however, was amused. As long as Xinxin was willing to look at him, it meant everything was fine. His smile became even more radiant.
Yang Ruxin could only turn her head in speechlessness. This man would start shining the moment he got a bit of sunlight. She then turned her gaze to the valley below, where the race had finally come to an end, leaving only eight horses surrounded by the pack of wolves.
The white horse that Gu Qingheng had his eye on seemed to dislike being threatened. It let out a long neigh and kicked at the Ink Wolf beside it.
Luckily, the Ink Wolf was quick to react and evaded the kick, then turned around and bared its teeth at the white horse. But the horse wasn’t scared and charged again...
"Indeed, it’s impressive, but it won’t be easy to tame," Gu Qingheng said before suddenly leaping into the air and landing squarely on the white horse’s back.
"Be careful," Yang Ruxin frowned and called out instinctively.
Gu Qingheng turned back and flashed a radiant smile, then grabbed onto the horse’s mane and squeezed his legs against its belly.
The white horse, already irritated from failing to hit the Ink Wolf, now had someone trying to ride it? It refused to be the so-called gentle horse people expected. So, with a defiant neigh, it started bucking wildly, even rearing on its hind legs...
With no saddle to help, Gu Qingheng had to cling to the horse’s neck and mane to not get thrown off. But it was awkward, and after the white horse reared up for the third time, Gu Qingheng was finally flung off.
