Chapter 851: Coyote (3)
The County Governor’s Office’s prison was a very gloomy place, built underground behind the County Governor’s Office, guarded by heavy troops all year round. Ruxin had seen prisons on television before, both ancient and modern ones.
But today was the first time she had personally entered such a place, a semi-underground prison that made one shiver from head to toe as soon as the door was opened.
Although it was sufficiently grim and horrifying, it wasn’t like what was portrayed on TV, where prisoners would stretch their hands out from the bars and shout "Let me out" or something similar whenever someone entered. There weren’t many prisoners because those who really caused trouble and couldn’t get out were sent to various labor camps to reform. Who would actually let these people stay inside every day just to get free meals? The people staying here were either minor offenders or those about to be executed.
At the end of the prison corridor, there was a particularly large cell. Unlike the other cells’ enduring gloom, this one seemed relatively clean. Furthermore, rather than a pile of straw, there was a small bed with bedding, and beside it was a small table with a teapot and teacup.
At the moment, a person was sitting on that small bed without shackles or chains.
However, their hair was a mess like a chicken’s nest, melding with the beard on their face, making it impossible to discern their features. One could only see a pair of eyes, which were closed at the moment, as if they were sleeping.
"Tuwolf," Fang Dehua didn’t have the cell door opened but stood outside and called out.
Tuwolf’s eyes opened instantly, his gaze cautiously cold.
"The prison is not a place for you to stay forever," Fang Dehua sighed softly. "Today, I’ve brought you a new master..."
