Yang Ruxin couldn’t be bothered to watch the man’s performance and turned to leave.
"I’ll see you out," Dong Wenming said as he heard the movement and came in. Though he didn’t quite understand what was happening, he didn’t ask.
Meanwhile, Yang Baiyue watched Yang Ruxin’s retreating figure, a glint of sharpness flashing in his eyes.
"Master Dong, please remain here." Once outside the room, Yang Ruxin glanced at Dong Wenming. "I’ll come again next month on time..."
"Lady Xinxin, it’s already noon. Would you stay for a meal?" Dong Wenming felt today presented an opportunity. He needed to have a proper talk with her.
Yang Ruxin paused and looked at Dong Wenming. "Old Master Dong, if it’s about your son-in-law’s illness, don’t worry. I charge for my medical visits and will certainly do my best..."
"No, it’s about you," Dong Wenming said with a smile. "I hope Lady Xinxin won’t refuse."
Yang Ruxin frowned but, seeing the earnest look in the other’s eyes, suddenly laughed. "Old Master Dong, that’s quite frightening. You almost made me misunderstand."
Dong Wenming was startled, then laughed as well, "Hehe, Xinxin... May I call you that?"
"As you wish," Yang Ruxin smiled. It was just a form of address, after all.
"It will only take up two hours of your time," Dong Wenming implored, with eyes full of hope.
