Chapter 697: Apology (2)_1
"You... you dare?" Here, Dai Xiyan was unafraid, convinced that given their status, these contemptible folk would not truly lay a hand on her.
"They might not dare, but I certainly do," Fang Tianze’s eyes narrowed slightly, "Today is grandfather’s birthday, and you’d best not push me to act." He had been training in martial arts with Gu Yao these days; although not yet very formidable, he was more than capable of dealing with Dai Xiyan, especially considering his status here. No one would make a fuss even if he did hit her; it was just that today was his grandfather’s birthday, and he didn’t want to cause trouble.
Yang Ruxin immediately gave Fang Tianze a thumbs-up: "A man should be firm when it’s time to be firm, not soft."
Fang Tianze blushed slightly at that but laughed joyously—sister Ruxin was praising him.
"Tianze, I’m your fiancée, how can you treat me like this?" Dai Xiyan appeared to be deeply hurt, looking at Fang Tianze with incredulous eyes.
"The engagement was a promise between our parents, but two years ago it was broken off, so, there’s nothing between us," Fang Tianze sneered coldly, "And Miss Dai, as a guest, you should be aware of your place. Not all parts of someone’s home are open to you, and this is not where you should be."
"You... Fang Tianze, I hate you..." Dai Xiyan stamped her foot and turned to leave.
"Wait a moment," Fang Tianze suddenly called out to her.
"Tianze..." Dai Xiyan felt a surge of happiness inside; she knew he couldn’t bear to let her go.
"Apologize to sister Ruxin," Fang Tianze said seriously as he looked at Dai Xiyan.
"What?" Dai Xiyan seemed not to understand.
"Apologize to sister Ruxin, or else I’ll call over my parents and yours to sort this out. To constantly spit out insults and call someone a ’cheap woman’—is that the upbringing of the Dai family?" Even though Fang Tianze looked harmless, the authority in his stern face was undeniable.
