Chapter 371: There’s a Tiger (Part 3) - 1
Gu Yao frowned and looked at Yang Ruxin, "Why do you have so many questions?"
"Just making conversation," Ruxin slightly raised her eyebrows.
Gu Yao pursed his lips and fell silent, but in his heart, he thought that if he ever had a wife, his elder brother would surely not have any conflict with her. If there was, of course, his elder brother would be the one to prevail. His elder brother was the master, after all. But he couldn’t share these thoughts with her.
Seeing that Gu Yao had stopped talking, Ruxin didn’t press him further. She began to think about Qian Er and his two companions; she was always good at judging people and was confident she hadn’t misjudged these three.
The journey from Niu Family Village to Xiaobudong Village was almost twenty li, but the road was unpaved, and the mule cart wasn’t fast. It had already been nearly two hours by the time they reached Lianhua Town, and by then it was already noon. The two of them went to the noodle shop Ruxin had visited before, ate two bowls of noodles, and then headed back to Dapu East Village.
However, just as they reached the entrance of the village, they saw villagers armed with hoes and sickles running towards the river, shouting as they ran, "There’s a tiger..."
Ruxin inwardly cursed, instinctively feeling that Dabai had been discovered. Without much thought, she jumped off the cart and ran towards the dilapidated house.
Gu Yao’s brow furrowed, but since he still had the cart, he couldn’t just leave it and run off. He hurried to return the cart before joining her.
Ruxin quickly arrived at the scene of the incident, and sure enough, it was where she had hidden Dabai. Her heart immediately leapt into her throat.
However, while the villagers who had already arrived were all armed with hoes and sickles, their expressions were strangely odd, and they were not taking any further action.
Ruxin, however, didn’t care about these details and was about to rush into the dilapidated house.
"Xinxin," Little Liuzi’s face was as red as a monkey’s backside, but he grabbed hold of Ruxin.
