She continued calling for a long time, even going near the cave where Dabai and Xiaobai previously stayed, but they were nowhere to be found. Her heart began to race; however, she also knew that worrying wouldn’t help, she could only wait for them to come find her.
She also tried to reassure herself that Dabai was the king of the mountains, Xiaobai was a descendant of the Wolf King, and Xiaolun was exceedingly clever, supposedly even a descendant of the Snake King from Snake Valley. Surely, they would be alright.
Thinking this way, she felt somewhat relieved.
On her way back, she picked some herbs she was familiar with and even found two little bunnies in a nest, which looked like they had just been born not long ago.
"Perfect to take back for Xiaosi and Xiaobao to raise," Yang Ruxin placed the two little ones into her basket and, noting that it was getting dark, hurried down the mountain to return home.
But as she arrived at the edge of the village, she saw several small figures from afar.
