Yang Ruxin, though not worried about getting bitten by the snake, was concerned about wasting time, as she realized that the snake was not leaving, but rather circling nearby in her space, which could not move. What to do? She couldn’t stay in her space forever; if she descended the mountain too late, the youngsters at home would start to worry.
Fortunately, after about fifteen minutes, Yang Ruxin noticed that the small green snake had moved away a bit. She breathed a sigh of relief, then flashed out of her space and ran.
The small green snake immediately got excited. "So it’s still here," it thought, and swiftly leapt up, aiming a strike toward the back of Yang Ruxin’s neck.
Yang Ruxin, of course, couldn’t let it bite her and quickly flashed back into her space.
The snake bit the air and, having learned its lesson, waited at the spot where Yang Ruxin had disappeared, thinking, "Let’s see if you can stay in there forever."
"Come on, a snake, does it need to be that smart?" Yang Ruxin sat in her space, looking through the transparent wall at the little green snake that kept rotating to look for her. She rolled her eyes, but there was nothing she could do but wait it out.
At that moment, however, a noise like the splitting of mountains and the cracking of earth suddenly came from the forest, accompanied by a whooshing wind.
Yang Ruxin’s eyes widened in surprise. "Dragons bring clouds and tigers bring wind," they say. Another big tiger? Was she meant to spend the night here?
When the small green snake heard the howling, it shrank back instantly, but before it could flee, it saw a colossal figure whoosh past...
