Chapter 113: Indifferent_1
Yang Ruxin looked at the beautiful girl before her, but the corners of her mouth curled up with sarcasm.
"Rusong, why have you become even thinner?" The moment Feng Caie saw Yang Rusong, her face furrowed with worry as she reached out to touch her son’s face, "Are you not eating well? Find some time to come back, and let your grandmother make you some delicious food to nourish you..."
"I’m fine." Yang Rusong took a small step back, avoiding Feng Family’s grasping hands, "Mother, where are you going?" It was obvious they weren’t here to see him. He then glanced at Yang Ruxin, his cousin who was usually not one to mingle, and yet today she was accompanying her mother?
He always lived in the academy, so he was unaware of what had happened in the Yang Family these past few days. Had he not come out to buy an ink slab today, he would not have bumped into them.
"I am taking your cousin to run some errands, you better hurry back too," Feng Caie naturally would not tell her son the truth, hastily waving her hands, "Hurry back now, you are short on time..." After speaking, she pulled Yang Ruxin away with her.
Yang Ruxin, from beginning to end, did not utter a word, her gaze towards Yang Rusong filled with a bit of sarcasm.
Watching the two leave, Yang Rusong couldn’t help scratching his head. Why did his cousin look at him so strangely? What exactly had happened? He then turned to walk back, but after a couple of steps, he halted. He needed to understand what was going on at home before he could proceed, but after hesitating, he decided to give up. He would rather return to the academy; his instinct was to avoid delving into family matters, fearful of uncovering something unpredictable.
This mindset truly reflected the indifference and selfishness of the Yang Family.
