Gu Pan and the others didn’t go far; they stayed around the courtyard, tidying it up. They gathered the broken walls and ruins from the roof in one place; if the villa could be repaired, they would continue with the repairs whenever possible. If not, they still needed to clean up because the courtyard was still in use.
Being outside, enjoying the sunshine of nature, felt incredibly luxurious—it had been too long since they’d seen the sun.
The most surprising thing was the emergence of little grass tips in the courtyard. How long had it been since they had seen grass growing?
By noon, Feng Zhekai, Fang Lanlan, and Chen Shaonan had all come back in succession. With so many people gathered again, everyone was moved and also felt excited and happy.
