Chapter 206: I Have My Eyes On You
The group jogged to the campgrounds, which were located somewhere in the woods, right outside the pack. On their way there, they chanted songs that spoke of their pride as wolves as well as their desire for victory.
Many of the pack members cheered at them, helping to boost their morale further. Kylo was able to pick up most of what they said, as they ran past them thanks to his wolf hearing.
"Oh look, that’s Gamma Rhett’s son!" He heard a young lady point out with a dreamy voice.
"So, they’re really going to fight against the vampires, huh? That’s a death sentence, for real." A young man commented with pity.
"Easy for you to say when you’re not a firstborn and can just waste your time away while the actual men are out there fighting for our safety. Isn’t Kylo around the same age as you?" A lady mocked the young man with a harrumph.
"I heard that Kylo now takes an interest in men." He heard a young lady comment out of nowhere, causing him to miss his steps and almost trip.
He searched for his father’s face, trying to see if he’d heard that. He was in his father’s line so it didn’t take long for him to spot him. He didn’t look the least bit concerned or bothered, probably meaning that he hadn’t heard the comment.
Kylo couldn’t help cursing under his breath. How did the pack members find out about his dealings with Cullen? He’d made sure he’d been extra secretive about it. But then again, it made sense.
People were bound to gossip, especially after he’d started walking around with Cullen— who was probably the gayest person in the pack if that were a thing —not long after he’d broken up with Isleen. It wasn’t too much of a big deal to him, but he wasn’t sure how his father would react to it. The man was so uptight about traditional values.
