Chapter 171: It’s Your Turn
After checking in with the receptionist, Gamma Rhett and I were led to our room. To my surprise, it was not just spacious but had two beds in two corners of the room.
I turned to Rhett, studying his facial expression closely. He didn’t seem surprised, meaning he was well aware of this arrangement. I’d been half expecting him to take advantage of the fact that we’d share a bed to make a move on me, but it seemed Gamma Rhett was more of a gentleman than I gave him credit for.
"So..." Rhett took off his coat, hanging it on a clothes rack mounted on the wall. "Do you want to sit down or are you going to keep scrutinizing the room like you’re on the lookout for hidden cameras?"
My face flushed with embarrassment as Rhett sat comfortably on a bed, smiling with amusement. He suddenly burst into a fit of laughter, taking me by surprise. It was rare to see him laugh so cheerfully, and it felt even more special since we were both alone right now.
After calming down from his laughing fit, Rhett beckoned to me with a reassuring voice. "Relax, my Omega. It’s just me and you here. You don’t have to be so uptight."
Hmph. He was one to talk.
I took off my shoes and then unbuttoned the jacket I had on. I could feel Gamma Rhett’s unwavering gaze on me, but I didn’t mind. I actually craved it more than anything.
Make a move, Isleen. It’s just you and him now.
My wolf growled inside me as if it wanted to come out and devour Rhett itself. But I ignored it, walking with purpose to Rhett’s bed. I sat beside him, turning to take a glance at his face.
