Chapter 146: _ Let Me Love You
I was sitting but it seemed like I was on my toes, anticipation buzzed through my veins. But then, with a teasing chuckle, he pulled the glass away.
"Such a clumsy wolf," he murmured, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement.
It was then I felt a bead of water clung to the corner of my lips. He reached out his thumb and brushed it against the wet spot with a deliberate slowness that sent shivers down my spine.
"Seems I’ll have to mend that mistake." He groaned as though this was such heavy work, his gaze dropping to my lips.
Before I could even stammer a reply, his face dipped towards mine. And then, his lips met mine.
The kiss came as demanding as always. It came as a possession. His lips were firm, almost harsh, yet there was an undercurrent of tenderness in them that left me breathless.
I melted into his touch, all thoughts of resistance forgotten if I even had any. My arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer. His scent– a mix of battle, sweat, and something uniquely him, filled my senses.
It was intoxicating like a heady cocktail that fueled the fire igniting within me.
The kiss deepened with his tongue tracing zig zag lines against mine but sending jolts of electrifying pleasure down my spine. A low moan escaped my lips.
"Damn you, Isleen. You shouldn’t have done that." He moaned back into my mouth.
It seemed my moan had ignited a new spark within him. Maybe I wanted it to.
