Chapter 55: _ Vampires are The Bad Guys
On getting home, the street was more secluded than normal. I knew this was typical of a Monday afternoon as everyone would either still be at work or school.
Yet, the few we met in the street all whispered about me just like on our way back. The only difference was that people here did it more discreetly.
Those on the way didn’t seem to care if I heard or not.
As soon as we entered the house, I ushered Liam inside and shut the door behind us.
He looked at me expectantly. "What now, Megami?"
Argh. He was doing it again. That weird thingy.
He was probably trying to not think about the mishap that had just happened. I should help him out.
"Alright, champ," I said, forcing a smile. "Let’s get you cleaned up. Go ahead and take off your clothes, I’ll throw them in the laundry."
He nodded obediently, disappearing into his room. I took some of my and Cullen’s dirty clothes too. I needed to do something to get my mind off thinking.
All those horrible things said about me were always so heavy that they held me back. Liam soon returned to give his clothes to me.
"Thanks, Pup." I grinned, patting his shoulder like Cullen.
