Chapter 329 Mating ceremony
"Sh—it’s okay, Ky-Ky, we understand... we’re sorry, we’re so sorry. We won’t go, okay?" Lucas muttered, his voice soft and full of concern. He exchanged a worried glance with Vincent, who was just as tense, his brow furrowed in worry.
Vincent gently squeezed Kyra’s hand, as if trying to comfort her without words, but his eyes mirrored Lucas’ unease. Both of them looked unsure, wanting to help but not knowing how to handle her sudden burst of emotions.
"All females who are going to participate in the mating ceremony, come forward to the platform!" The loud voice of the same priest who conducted the pre-sunrise ceremony echoed through the crowd.
"Let’s go, Ky-Ky. Don’t cry, okay? Damon is finally going to become your mate... and Oceanus too. And, let’s see who Silas is," Lucas said softly. Kyra wiped her tears with the back of her hand, nodding and sniffing, trying to hold herself together.
As she walked towards the platform, she noticed only two other females had come forward. She glanced around, but none of her males had stepped onto the platform yet, which made her feel uneasy.
Finally, the priest called for all the males participating in the mating ceremony. Six males walked forward, and Kyra’s heart nearly leapt out of her throat as they approached.
Damon was the first to step toward her. His well-sculpted body was on full display, and many females in the crowd openly drooled at the sight of him. Kyra bit her lip, struggling to hold back her anger and jealousy. Her gaze then shifted to Oceanus, his chiseled physique making her cheeks flush. She quickly looked away, embarrassed by her reaction.
Damon furrowed his brows as he noticed the male standing next to him. There was something strange about him—everyone was watching this male with a kind of respect that made Damon suspicious. The male nodded, acknowledging the stares, but Damon couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to him.
"All males, please stand near your soon-to-be female," the priest instructed, and Damon and Oceanus moved to either side of Kyra.
