Kyra tightened her grip on Benjamin’s wrist, her deep smile never leaving her face. "What do you think you’re doing?" she asked coldly. "Trying to harm my people... you’ve got guts, Benjamin." Without hesitation, she twisted his arm and delivered a swift kick to his stomach, sending him crashing to the ground.
Benjamin glared at her with hatred, his eyes cold and filled with anger. "It’s you. You ruined everything," he spat. "My whole childhood was spent planning this with my Beast father, planning how I’d get the world key. It was his dream, our legacy. And now he’s gone, and you ruined it. You ruined my great-great-great-grandfather’s dream."
Kyra’s expression didn’t falter, but Damon’s eyes narrowed at the revelation. Shocking wasn’t enough to describe it.
"So what!" Damon’s voice was harsh, cutting through the tension. "You were willing to destroy the whole world for this twisted dream? You’re sick, Benjamin."
Benjamin let out a dark laugh. "Yes, I’m sick. I hate you, Damon. I killed your sister! I killed her!" His voice dripped with venom, his confession chilling.
Damon’s face went blank, and he staggered back a few steps, all color draining from his face. His vision blurred, rage boiling within him. All he could see now was red.
"You... killed my sister?" His voice cracked, and his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
Unable to bear it, Damon collapsed to the ground, his expression blank, drained of strength.
"Damon!" Kyra’s voice trembled with worry as she knelt beside him, gripping his arms tightly. Her heart ached at the sight of his deep injury, his back barely held together by the hastily applied bandages. The sight of him, struggling and vulnerable in a way she had never seen, filled her with fear and anger.
