My mates in Beastworld

Chapter 285 Another reason to destroy ghost eye group

She walked over to the bed and sat down, her mind already forming a plan. She would provoke Sandra, push her buttons until she snapped. Maybe, just maybe, it would force Benjamin to act, and in that moment of chaos, she would find her way out. It was a dangerous plan, but at this point, what did she have to lose?

Kyra glanced over at Joy, who was now in his owl form again, perched by the window. He hadn’t said a word to her since the others left her alone. She wondered if he knew more than he let on, if he was part of this twisted scheme. But for now, he seemed harmless enough—more of an observer than a threat.

The silence was suffocating, but Kyra knew she couldn’t afford to let it overwhelm her. She had to stay focused, alert, and ready to act.

Time was running out, and she couldn’t stay in this place forever. Damon, Vincent and Lucas were out there somewhere, searching for her. She had to believe that. And she would find her way back to them—no matter what it took.

This eerie peace wouldn’t last forever. Something was going to give, and when it did, Kyra would be ready.

On the third day, the tension had reached its peak. The once comforting silence had turned into a suffocating weight, pressing down on Kyra with every passing hour. Her heart raced, her nerves frayed as she tried again and again to reach Kaia. But no matter how hard she focused, how deeply she reached out, there was nothing. It was as if Kaia had been completely cut off, leaving Kyra feeling more isolated than ever.

Frustration ate at her. She sensed something dark hiding beneath this quiet torment. As she paced the room, her steps grew quicker and more restless. The owl boy watched her from nearby, his eyes never leaving her. What had once been comforting now only increased her agitation.

Then, late in the afternoon, the atmosphere shifted. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed outside her door. It creaked open, revealing Benjamin—though he wasn’t alone. Behind him stood a massive, grotesque figure, its horned form covered in gnarled skin that shimmered like dark stone. The creature’s horns twisted high, and its yellow eyes gleamed with an eerie light that sent a chill down Kyra’s spine.

Kyra’s breath caught as she looked at the creature. She had seen it before.
