Chapter 254 Damon jealousy
She glanced at him, surprised by how his casual whisper had sent a wave of warmth through her, and she couldn’t help but smile. Lucas always knew how to lighten the mood, even if he didn’t realize it himself.
Damon noticed the interaction, his eyes narrowing slightly but he said nothing, keeping his arm wrapped protectively around Kyra’s other side.

After they reached home, the meager supplies were laid out on the table. All they had left were a small amount of rice and some grains—barely enough to feed three people. With no other choice, Damon made a simple salty porridge. The smell of it filled the air, though the meal itself was far from hearty.
They divided the porridge equally, each of them holding a small wooden bowl. Kyra, however, only took a few bites before quietly pushing the rest toward Damon and Lucas. She knew they had larger appetites and needed more energy.
Damon eyed her skeptically, his brow furrowed as he watched her push the bowl toward him and Lucas.
"You eat so little, Ky-Ky," Lucas said, his voice filled with worry as he glanced at her nearly untouched bowl.
Kyra smiled gently, trying to reassure them. "I’m fine. You two need it more than I do," she said, nudging the bowl toward them with a little more insistence. Her hazel-blue eyes were soft, showing her care for them both.
Damon’s frown deepened as he watched her. He reached over, gently but firmly pushing the bowl back toward her. "Little thing, you need to eat," he said, his voice leaving no room for argument. "We all need our strength. Don’t think you can get away with skipping meals."
