Chapter 219 Patience
Kyra stood near Damon’s house, watching Vinecnt slither away for the last time.
She felt numb and empty, a profound ache settling in her chest. Is this what it feels like when you love someone so deeply that you can’t imagine living without them? Maybe.
It was hard to let him go, but she knew he had to do this. She smiled through her tears as he disappeared into the darkness.
Lucas bit his lip, feeling his throat tighten with emotion. He didn’t know when he had become so attached to Vinecnt. At first, he saw him as a rival, but now he felt a deep sadness seeing him leave.
Damon, on the other hand, felt a flicker of happiness that Vinecnt was finally gone. His sharp eyes flashed with satisfaction as he looked at Kyra. "Shall we go inside?" he asked.
Kyra didn’t answer. She kept her eyes on the spot where Vinecnt had disappeared, her heart heavy. She didn’t want to talk to anyone. She just wanted to be alone, feeling the tightness in her chest and pressing her lips into a thin line.
He told her he was going to underground and he was going to be near by, and if he woke up he will come to visit her.
Kyra nodded at Damon and walked inside, her steps heavy. Lucas followed silently, not in the mood for jokes or laughter.
Inside, Kyra moved to the sofa and sat down, staring blankly ahead. Lucas sat beside her, offering silent support. Damon sat across from them, his eyes watching Kyra with concern.
