My mates in Beastworld

Chapter 90 his desires

"Wait!" Ayoo called out. The young boy quickly ran toward Vincent, clutching a woven bamboo basket in his hand. His forehead was sweating as he hurriedly looked up at the tall male.

"I forgot to give you these," he said, quickly peeking at Vincent’s cold eyes before hastily running back in the other direction.

Vincent’s presence was intimidating. His cold, red eyes struck fear into Ayoo’s heart.

Since childhood, Ayoo had been living in the mountains. They didn’t eat meat; instead, they planted vegetables and fruits to eat.

Sometimes, Ayoo ventured into the mountains to pick roots and wild fruits. He loved living here and was also learning spirituality from his master.

Ayoo aspired to become a priest like his master. He wasn’t physically strong like the other cubs when he was born, so he was abandoned. His master found him and treated him.

This year, Ayoo turned eleven. His master told him that when he turned eighteen, he could choose to travel around the world or stay in the mountains. Besides teaching Ayoo spirituality, his master was also instructing him in the art of fighting.

So, the first time he saw such powerful beastmen, he was naturally afraid, even though he was learning to fight.

Vincent opened the door softly. The room was aglow with candlelight, casting a warm, golden hue on the walls, which were painted to match.

Paintings adorned the room, and a bamboo bed stood near the window.
