Chapter 79 Fighting
As they stood there in silence, he couldn’t help but notice the faint fragrance of her, a scent that stirred something deep within him, urging him to pull her close. His heart raced with the desire to wrap his arms around her, to feel her warmth against his chest.
But before he could act on his impulse, Lucas interjected himself between them, breaking the charged moment.
"I’m all set! Are you guys done chatting?" Lucas inquired, eager to head home.
"We’re finished, right?" Kyra glanced at Vincent, seeking confirmation.
"Then can we head out?" Lucas pressed, eager to leave.
"Sure," Kyra replied, though she hesitated, offering a tentative wave to Vincent. "Bye... Take care."
"Bye, Vinu!" Lucas chimed in, while Vincent simply rolled his eyes in response.
As Kyra climbed onto Lucas’s back, she stole a glance back at Vincent. Something about the way he looked at them made her heart ache. Was it loneliness she saw in his eyes?
She couldn’t shake the worry gnawing at her chest. What if they left him alone? Would he feel lonely?
When did she start caring so much? She couldn’t deny the truth any longer: she was in love with both men, and it was tearing her apart.
She knows she can have both of them, having seen other women with more than fifteen partners. She should embrace the idea of customization, but her morals hold her back. Since childhood, she’s believed there’s no room for a third person between two people in love.
